Since 2011, Denes Szaszak, qualified professional coach trained in Hungary - one of the top Olympic kayaking nations, leads most of the club's weekly regular trainings. Over the years, he has taken the club from strength to strength under his coaching and leadership, helping the us score medals both locally and internationally.
As the Assistant Coach of the Singapore National Kayak Team, his technical skills, knowledge and thoughtful approach have contributed to the achievements of many young and older paddlers across Singapore.
Denes also designs training programmes for schools and our club, that are well structured and carefully put together for injury prevention, safety and development. The training can be highly challenging especially for the international competitions. You will get to experience what it feels like to train like an athlete. His dedication, patience and sense of humour also makes paddling safe, fun and interesting for all.
